
Waltham Engraved Pocket Watch from 1800's - NAWCC Forums
Feb 18, 2013 · The case is gold filled, made by the Crescent Watch Case Company, of New York and Newark, NJ. You can read more about them here. I believe this is their mark from before the 1904 merger with Keystone, and it should be for a 20-year case. My guess is the movement will date from the 1890-1920 period, and it looks like it might be a women's size 6?

Jul 26, 2009 · The wiki article states that Crescent merged with with the Philadelphia Watch Case Company, Bates and Bacon, and the Keystone Watch Case Company, and the new merged company went under the Keystone name. That would lead me to believe that there were no cases made after 1904 with the C.W.C. Co. name on the case.

Checking the references listed in the Waltham Watches Encyclopedia article (and looking at your pictures), Waltham movement serial number 15926806 can be seen to be a 16-size, model 1899, grade No. 625, 17-jewel, open-face movement, built in about 1908, give or take a year or so.
