Newly-remanufactured AC4400CWM locomotives CSX 7274, Union Pacific 7252, 7245 and 7262 were on the Wabtec test track near Fort Worth, Texas. CSX 7274 had been built in June 1994 as CSX 9100 and was the very first production model AC4400CW.

CSXT CW44AC #1 was changed to #173 and later taken out of service for upgrade in the CW44AC to CM44AC conversion program (renumbered into the 7000 series as #7274). The "Spirit of West Virginia" designation was not reapplied to this rebuild.

Dec 28, 2024 · CSX and UP Locomotives Description: Four newly-remanufactured AC4400CWM units – CSX 7510, UP 7274, 7295 and 7256 – were outbound on the Wabtec-BNSF interchange about a mile and a half north of the builder’s Fort Worth Plant.

CSX #4000-4224 will be comprised of former CSX SD40-2's with HT-C trucks in the 8000-8261 series.

Nov 12, 2022 · Fresh Rebuild - Only about two months into it's new service life, CSXT 7274 serves as C004's mid DPU at Waycross, Georgia on 11/12/22. 7274 is the oldest production AC44, formerly CSXT 1/173:2.

Sunday, January 12th CSX 7274 trails mid of 3 on the I158! It would be almost 3 years since I saw this unit before it was rebuilt, when it was the 173! Glad to finally see it again after all this time!
