When he heard of Chewbacca's death, Bossk rubbed it in Solo's face, receiving a broken snout in return. The encounter escalated into a fight, and both Bossk and Solo were put into arrest cells. Solo was allowed to leave shortly before the invasion of the space station, but Bossk had to stay.

Bossk would be a very likely survivor as well, probably spotted a mile away after Jabba died that the barge was not going to survive and evacuated. I head-canon away a bit that a lot of people escaped during the chaos especially after Jabba died and before Luke set off the explosion.
