The Domaine Bornard now covers 11 hectares, cultivating the five Jura grape varieties (Chardonnay, Savagnin, Poulsard, Pinot Noir, Trousseau) as well as the rare and wonderful indigenous red-stemmed Melon from Jura, a delightful cousin of Chardonnay.

Bornard family wines are very rare and sell out quickly. The Bornard family Domaine is located in Pupillin in the heart of the Jura region. The transition from Philippe, the region's historic and acclaimed winemaker, to Tony his son took place in 2017.

Son of Philippe, one of the most important winemakers of Jura's natural wine revolution, Tony Bornard is an important character within the Jura landscape himself. After establishing his own small estate in 2013, he took over his father's land in 2017, and has dedicated himself to creating even more lively wines in his stead.

In Pupillin, right next to Pierre Overnoy's humble, yet famous cellar is Domaine Bornard. The Domaine began with Philippe Bornard but, as of 2017, it is his son Tony who takes the reins of the winery. Tony travelled to France, the United States and Australia before returning to Jura in 2011 and starting up the Domaine.

Today it is run by his son Tony Bornard, who has his own distinct flair, bringing the wines in a new direction yet still maintaining their Jurassian style. All done sustainably, the wines are easily recognisable from their labels which all feature a ginger fox.
