Pre-haste your party with speed potions or haste. Climb the stalk, and then have your illithid put down Mind Sanctuary in the middle of your party. Each of your subsequent characters can now call 3 separate allies on your first turn in combat. Check your consumables, are you using potions and scrolls? Elixirs? It is the last battle in the game.
