Apr 17, 2013 · When a coral is stressed it produces super oxygen radicals and hydrogen peroxide that damage the zooxanthellae and also expels zooxanthellae into the water column. Do you leave everything alone in your tank and hope the coral recolonizes the zooxanthellae or do you stop using your protein skimmer(if you run one) in an effort to keep the free ...

May 29, 2020 · Reducing feeding is going to help a lot. It's a hard habit to kick but it is tremendously helpful. Also, wanted to be sure to let you know that euphylia and lps should not be overfed. Jan 3, 2016 · Corals bleach from many stressors - but it basically comes down to that they bleach whenever the zoox threaten their survival by consuming more than they contribute. Feb 5, 2018 · Restoring the lost zooxanthellae due to bleaching takes time. When a coral has bleached, but still has tissue, this is the most vulnerable time. Vinegar or Bleach to clean old Rock - REEF2REEF Saltwater and …
Mar 10, 2017 · Bleach is good for removing dead organic matter. You can put it into bleach and RODI for a day or so (it will not take much bleach). Afterwards, I would rinse the rock and soak in RODI to get any bleach out. Acid plus RODI is good for removing phosphates from the rock. Just remember that HCl + CaCO3 = CaCl2 + CO2. I did not balance it out.
