Dec 16, 2024 · I've gone way down the blade bait rabbit hole, and have tried blade baits from quite a few different companies. The only two baits I feel you really need are 1. Damiki Vault and 2. Megabass Dyna Response. The Vault works better when they are actively feeding, producing much more vibration.

Dec 18, 2021 · Blade baits work best for me when water temps are around 37-45 here in the Midwest. I do catch bass, walleye, crappie, and perch through the ice on them as well. As AJay said, less is more with a blade bait.

May 29, 2018 · Just for a rule of thumb, the ol' Colorado blade, the first blade that I've ever seen on a spinnerbait is a deep cup, rounded blade and it offers a lot of vibration. An Indiana blade is kind of a reduced, elongated version of a Colorado, but it doesn't have near the vibration, but it's got a little more flash than does a Colorado blade.
