Aug 26, 2022 · BG3 has a definitive edge when it comes to your ability to position units, its encounter spaces are better designed, and its combat is undeniably more fluid than Solasta's. Also, side note, but random encounters are absolutely terrible in every game they're in.

May 8, 2022 · BG3's characters are obviously better looking and better animated - but not necessarily faithful to DnD lore. Solasta's group ability checks & picking the most proficient character are 2 convenient and fun to play mechanics.
I wish platonic relationships were a bit stronger.

Nov 2, 2024 · Leaning towards spellblade - I really like being able to set up arcane bombs and finish them off with a dagger throw. And honestly? The dialogue? I get why people say it's weak, but some of it has really hit for me so far. The stuff with Solas has been great, and besides a line here and there that has me tilt my head, I think it's not that bad.
