Jan 11, 2010 · The Bell 212 HP AH Mk is a military utility helicopter operated by the UK’s Army Air Corps (AAC). It is a variant of the Bell UH-1 family of military helicopters. Bell 212 helicopters are currently deployed in the forests of Belize and Brunei by the AAC.

Flying out over the tree canopy just after dawn with the mist settling in the dips of the valleys, sitting in the side seat with the door ajar was like the Vietnam movies and surprisingly emotional.

On 1 August 2021, No. 7 Flight AAC based in Brunei was redesignated as No. 667 Squadron. [12] In 2022 the Bell 212 was replaced in Brunei with the RAF Westland Puma HC2 , operated by No. 1563 Flight RAF .

The Bell 212 (also known as the Bell Two-Twelve) is a two-blade, twin-engine, medium helicopter that first flew in 1968. Originally manufactured by Bell Helicopter in Fort Worth, Texas, United States, production was moved to Mirabel, Quebec, Canada in 1988, along with all Bell commercial helicopter production after that plant opened in 1986. Sep 9, 2021 · The Army Air Corps' Brunei-based No 7 Flight - which operates the Bell 212 AH1/AH3 - has been re-designated as No 667 Squadron. The change became official from August 1.
