Aug 19, 2024 · Beard shadow tends to be blue, so orange is a good neutralizer. It took some experimentation to find a concealer that worked well under my foundation, but after a couple of tries, I found one. My beard is mostly gray now and I find that orange shades are quite effective.

Mar 18, 2023 · To neutralize one color you are supposed to use the color directly opposite on the color wheel, so orange tends to be the best choice for blue beard shadow. My regimen for applying foundation is to apply just enough orange concealer to make the blue disappear. How much you apply depends on how dark your shadow tends to be.

Dec 7, 2020 · Shaving very closely is the imperative to eliminate the hairs as much as possible. The other issue, probably the one that we can deal with, is hiding beard "shadow." Even when shaving really close, darker hairs impart a bluish tint to our skin. The closer the hairs are together, the more shadow there is.

Dec 26, 2009 · The theatrical makeup has the slang 'Indian Makeup' in the entertainment/fashion industries because it is a deep orange. Politicians, actors, whoever is on camera; they need to hide their beard shadow as well. They call the effect Blue Beard, due to the pigmentation effect.

Save your money and go to a store carrying a product like Derma Blend which can be used for tattoo cover. In other words, get a good cover foundation that matches your skin carefully.

I started out with a bit of eye liner, but I thought it gave me a "trying too hard" look. So I mostly didn't use any.
