Aug 19, 2024 · Beard shadow tends to be blue, so orange is a good neutralizer. It took some experimentation to find a concealer that worked well under my foundation, but after a couple of tries, I found one. My beard is mostly gray now and I find that orange shades are quite effective.

Mar 18, 2023 · To neutralize one color you are supposed to use the color directly opposite on the color wheel, so orange tends to be the best choice for blue beard shadow. My regimen for applying foundation is to apply just enough orange concealer to make the blue disappear. How much you apply depends on how dark your shadow tends to be.

May 5, 2024 · I did early on, out of necessity. Regardless of how close you shave, beard shadow shows through. I just used a bit of foundation, setting powder and blush. I didn't use much eye makeup. I started out with a bit of eye liner, but I thought it gave me a "trying too hard" look. So I mostly didn't use any.
