When the 330e hit the market, the tax credit in the US was written totally different and the 330e qualified for I think $4500 of the max $7500 credit; BMW (Mercedes, Audi, etc.) no longer qualify for the credit.

Feb 11, 2018 · That was a plus for the 330e. I also looked at the Tesla 3 and S Model, but their limited service network and the range anxiety put those on the shelf for the next few years anyways. Another plus for the BMW. Additionally, I think the 330e has so much more class than the Model 3, or the Audi e-Tron I drove.

Mar 15, 2016 · In NL the BMW 330e has a tax advantage for company cars which make the car attractive. But, I agree that the car is not very economical if you would add the cost of the charging stations into the overall cost. In that case a diesel is performing better. My colleague drives a BMW 320 ede which uses 4.2 l/100km (56MPG).

Nov 24, 2020 · After taking my 2017 330e to my local independent BMW garage because of driver’s door window control fault (i.e. it’s stopped working) they have suggested replacing the the auxiliary battery. The crossover between EVand ICE seems fine but maybe it could be smoother.

Jan 28, 2022 · In the 330e, the auxiliary battery powers the starter. In the F30, the 12V primary battery and the auxiliary are isolated from the drive battery, so they don't charge when the car is plugged in. That's apparently changed in the G-series PHEVs.
