
2024 Remote start problem. Come on Audi! You finally put in
Traded in my 21 Q5 for 24 Q7, one of the main reason being having remote start! All excited about it and it doesn’t even work 95% of the time! Like wtf Audi! You had one job! FIX IT now! Tried everything to fix it, but doesn’t work. Audi charging top money for their car, but can’t get the features to work. Come on Audi… disappointed.

Nov 28, 2023 · I have done quite a bit of reading on remote starts for my 2023 A5, and if I go for it, I will be using the 12volt solutions. However, I am going to try waiting through this first winter in hopes Audi does a "backwards compatible" update for Audi's own remote start feature as an additional cash-grab from consumers.

It fixed some of the problems for me, but in my case, the alarm goes off on my 2024 Q7, so Audi is still looking into that. The remote start is working better now.

Dec 19, 2023 · I’m in Canada, Audi offered one called MyCar2 as an add on which I decided to purchase. Given it was added to the purchase it is included in my warranty. So far it’s been great. Can start/stop the car, pop the trunk and turn on heated seats, lock/unlock the car. Works from anywhere in North America Edit - no monthly fee FYI

The aftermarket remote start options for Audi's include an option to have the remote start programmed through your current OEM FOB (instead of a separate FOB) - so that sounds like what you have. There will be another key stashed somewhere in your vehicle - the PO probably ordered a third FOB so that they would have a spare.

As soon as I unlock the car and get in, I am not welcomed by the car! Instead, the MMI boots up and shows an unusable screen "Checking Remote Access Rights".

Oct 31, 2023 · I hope so too. I have a 2023 Q7 with remote park assist (I can use the myAudi app to get in/out of a parking spot). What's insane is that it remote starts when that feature is in use, so clearly my car is capable of it. I still don't have the option in the app.

Nov 23, 2022 · Leave it overnight if you don’t need to use the car and it might clear itself. Different car but I’ve had the same issue in the past. Also there’s loads of issues with Audi Connect at the minute, my service history has all disappeared and I’m getting countless errors on the app. Audi tech team are looking into it apparently.
