The Arrows A5 was the car which the Arrows Formula One team used to compete in the 1982 Formula One season. The A5 appeared late in the season, and was primarily a development car, with the lessons learned to be applied to the A6 for the upcoming 1983 Formula One season.

Produced late in 1982 as a test car, the Arrows A5 was effectively a copy of the Williams FW08. It was only used for a few races, and the sole A5 was rebuilt as an A6 for 1983.

As Arrows name logic dictated, it was dubbed the A5 and was closely modelled after the Williams FW08. That was one of the few naturally aspirated engined cars that was actually competitive in 1982.

May 15, 2023 · Brazilian Chico Serra brought it home in 9 th to take a double top 10 finish for the British squad. For the second round of the season in Long Beach, California, Serra had to make way for Alan Jones, the first world champion to ever race an Arrows F1 car.
