Arla Foods is the fifth-largest dairy company in the world and a cooperative owned by more than 12,500 dairy farmers. Arla combines traditional craftsmanship and world-class technologies to ensure its products remain closer to nature, from farm to fridge.

In year 2000 the Danish MD Foods and the Swedish Arla ekonomisk Förening decided to merge. This was the first large cross national merger in the Nordic dairy industry - only to see many more come after.

Feb 19, 2025 · In 2024, Arla Foods experienced a strong year, with revenue increasing to EUR 13.8 billion and strong profit levels enabling the highest dividend payout to farmer-owners in the company's history.

In 2000, the largest Danish dairy cooperative merged with its Swedish counterpart and Arla Foods, the first cross-border dairy cooperative, was formed. The cooperative idea also flourished in other countries and through recent mergers cooperative owners in the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg have joined Arla Foods.

Arla is owned by our dairy farmers and we work to get the best possible price for the milk they deliver so that they are able to invest in their farms and even expand in order to bring more milk to the world.

Arla Foods in the Middle East is a wholly owned subsidiary of Arla Foods amba in Denmark and has been in the Region for over 60 years. Arla Foods history in the Middle East has been long and fruitful with many challenges and successes along the way.
