I did not know the location but Jack D. Kuiphoff saw this posting and sent me the following: "I have many photographs from here, and beleive this is an east bound at West Darling, Arizona." Thanks Jack. Then Willard Seehorn commented "These are EMC 1A and 1B, the same picture appears on Page 6 of Priest's 'The Santa Fe Diesel'.

For 1/1, here are another couple of 1's: Santa Fe boxcabs 1A and 1B built by EMC in 1935 for the new, extra fare Super Chief. The first two photos show the pair with the original heavyweight Super just arrived at Los Angeles, CA's old La Grande station.
