Jul 24, 2022 · Other than the terrible stock earpad that comes with the AKG k361/k371, I absolutely LOVE the k371. The tuning is perfectly Harman neutral, the build is light and comfortable, the cables are detachable, the foldable cups make it portable, The AKG k371 is easily one of the BEST closed-back headphones you can buy under the $200usd price tag.

Oct 10, 2019 · The plots of the K361 and K371 make the K361 seem more bloated in the upper midrange and upper treble (like my K553's) than the K371. With maybe a bit less emphasis in the sibilant range between 5 and 8 kHz.

What I can say though from observing the feedback here and elsewhere is that there seems to be a fairly clear preference for the wired vs. BT version of the K371, mainly due to frequency response and driver balance issues on the latter, I believe.

The K371 is also probably a little bright in that same area of the midrange, around roughly 2k. But not to the same extent as the K361. The K361 also appears to have about the same notch or depression at around 4 kHz as the K371.

Sep 7, 2023 · For comfort, the K612 wins easily over the K361 however the K361 is also pretty comfortable. Do keep in mind the pads on the K361 are on the shallow side. The headband on the K612 is kinda.. "solid" like its a suspension style headband but its just really hard. There are mods out there just putting cushioning on the headband to make it more comfy.
