Jun 19, 2021 · Unless AKG sell replacement capsules for a lot less than the mic it's probably not worth it. It's possible, but unlikely, that there's some debris causing the rubbing - If it's wrecked any way there's no harm in very gently pushing the diaphragm straight in, and letting it bounce back, a few times to see if that clears the path.

Nov 23, 2012 · Yep, the D112 has its own mic clip. Smaller than most mics. I just looked at mine, and you are correct. There is an adapter on the mic clip itself on mine, for the smaller size. What smaller equates to, is beyond my knowledge. Duct tape works too. lol!

Jul 13, 2003 · Most drummers will prefer the AKG D112 over the Beta 52 because it doesn't have as much of a biased personality. The AKG will give more if the sound of the reverberation off of the shell and a distinct click to the pedal as well as the heavy bass undertone of the kick drum (great for blues, folk/rock, some jazz,etc).
