Oct 30, 2014 · In this study we determine the ionospheric flow pattern associated with substorm auroral onset beads using ASIs and SuperDARN radars, which occasionally are operated in high-time resolution. Different orientations of the radar beams relative to the onset arc for different events allow us to distinguish between north-south and east-west flows.
