This Baldwin Locomotive Works 0-6-0 built in 1905 and operated by the Atlantic Coast Line is an historic engine which resides with its accompanying caboose just outside our museum. A gift can be earmarked specifically for maintaining this piece of South Florida railroad history.

3 days ago · Looks like they have finished their restoration of this 0-6-0 in Ft. Myers, FL and have erected a shelter over it. They went to a lot of trouble and expense here, including a whole new tender tank.

Dec 1, 2018 · 0-6-0 Class E-4 #143 in 1905 for the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad. Weighing 108,365 lbs, the engine has 51” drivers and 19” x 24” cylinders. Operating at a boiler pressure of 180 psi, it delivered 26,510 lbs tractive effort.

Oct 18, 2015 · The Baldwin Locomotive Works of Philadelphia built #143 for the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad in 1905. #143 was used to switch freight cars in rail yards around Charleston, South Carolina. (A historical marker located in Fort Myers in Lee County, Florida.)

A new playground will be built towards the parking lot. The RRMSF is currently looking for an ACL or SCL caboose for birthday parties to be located behind the 143. The RRMSF is currently looking for a bell and whistle to put on old 143.

The museum area also features ACL 143. Baldwin Locomotive Works of Philadelphia, PA built the #143 in 1905. #143 was a part of a large order of locomotives placed by the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad. It is a 0-6-0 type, class E-4.
