May 3, 2021 · Our modern thinking is that 310 BC would be 1 BSE (Before Seleucid Empire), and someone like Josephus might write that the Exodus took place in the year 1141 BSE. But I doubt that would actually happen. Would he instead shift to a different dating system, like the Year of the Exodus? Or would nobody ever date something prior to 311 BC?
