Apr 28, 2012 · Ford 861 Model Year: 0 Bought this tractor a year ago. Been using it for mowing and pulling fence posts mostly. Doing some fixing off and on too. It's a good solid tractor and a big step up from the N series. Dad had an 860 5-spd and a 4000 Select-O-Speed on the farm when I was growing up, so I was pretty familiar with this tractor already.

May 16, 2018 · Definitely an 801 series. As to which model within the series (821, 841, 851, 861, 871, 881) it depends on which transmission and PTO options it has. An 861 would have a 5 speed and live PTO, but an 851 would have a 5 speed and non-live PTO.

Dec 11, 2011 · Your 861 was part of the POWERMASTER SERIES between 1958 thru 1962 Theses tractors are strong and durable. The 861 produces 64 H.P. at the engine. This is plenty of H.P. to do many things around a small farm. Also the 861 was first to have LIVE POWER and maintain it's 5 speed transmission.

It has a sherman hi low 5 speed , live pto with draft control,good tires, hydraulic front loader with decent tin for 2600. I dont think the price was to bad considering she runs real good with no smoke and fires right up.

Jul 23, 2017 · My father used an 861 with a Ford FEL to load round bales on the farm over 25 years. The tractor had a hydraulic PTO pump to help power the FEL. The tractor worked well for all those years but the front end of those tractors are not the strongest for FEL usage. When we sold it several years ago the front axle was cracked from those years of usage.

Nov 4, 2012 · Ford/861D I have an early model either a 57 or 58 Ford 861D and it has only one return fuel line from the standpipe to the brass fitting that screws into the side of the block. I understand in 1959 and later Ford started using a standpipe with two return lines.
