A Great Tuner for 6m Time Owned: more than 12 months. There are not too many options for a 6m tuner and if your messing around with antennas this is a nice addition to the shack. The swr and power meters are useful as well especially if your dipole is resonant you wont need the tuner. Typical MFJ build quality.

I can load the miniquad on all 6 bands with it, and with a manual tuner in line get the dipole loaded on 30-60 meters. So when operating remote I can easily QSY anywhere from 60m to 6m. The tuner even handles the miniquad detuning when it rains and the antenna gets wet. Yaesu and Icom autotuners couldn't handle that as well.

I used an antenna analizer to keep the antenna within the 3:1 swr but luckly from 20m to 6m the antenna was within this range. I switched a lot between band and used a lot the tuner since I was ofter changing frequency operating as a runner and trying opening in 10 and 6 meters. The tuner was working fine with stable swr near 1.2/1.3 for days.
Reviews For: MFJ-1764 Dual 2m/6m omnidirectional - eHam.net
The MFJ-1764 outperforms the Isopole noticeably; its performance is essentially equivalent to the Workman; but it does not perform quite as well as the Ringo. For 6m, I have owned the Comet GP-15, and an Arrow 6m ground plane, in an addition to the MFJ-1764. The MFJ clearly outperformed the Comet on 6m, and gave roughly comparable performance ...

The tuner can put the caps on either side of the toroids to increase flexibility in finding tuning solutions. Unlike the earlier tuners, though, this one has gobs of memory for tuning solutions. For every 20- or 50-KHz segment of every band, the tuner can retain up to 31 separate tune settings, certainly more than ample!
