Sep 9, 2023 · I have never owned a 457 MTR but have competed against many of them and helped a friend tune his. They had a ton of promise and some of them shoot OK but few are real match grade shooters even after a lot of development. Some are. Most are not. Most of my BR crowd that tried them have since divested of the purchase to get something better.

Jul 13, 2014 · The whole rifle was clamped in his vice and he tested maybe 10 lot numbers of Center X and 10 lot numbers of Midas Plus. Of course I chose the best one that shot out of the Benz chamber, and it shoots much better out of the 457 MTR match chamber and barrel.

Sep 28, 2024 · Here are a few bore scope shots on my 457 MTR. What is interesting is there has been no carbon ring so far, and I shot suppressed same day of these pics and how great the rifling/barrel looks. I'm comparing it to my Vudoo that did get a carbon ring. I'll take before and after cleaning photos on both CZ and Vudoo to see how they compare.

Nov 7, 2022 · The bergara b14r is the most impressive 700 clone short of a vudoo out there. They are fantastic. Good mags, 0 issues in the 6 or 7 bergaras i have had. But the winner in the rimfire market short of vudoo but still expensive is the 457 vpt mtr.

Jul 10, 2020 · Hey folks! I just received my CZ 457 Varmint MTR and I am in the process of fitting all the accessories to be ready for the range. I have installed a Nikon 1000 4-16X50 scope, an Area 419 scope mount, and removed the sling swivel screws from the stock. These screws are wood screws and they will not fit in the Area 419 bipod rail.

Dec 18, 2019 · Buy the MTR. Keep its barrel. Sell its stock to the wood-dorks at a premium. Take the cash and buy a chassis. If you want best affordable option. The CZ 457 PT MTR (has Manners stock and MTR barrel) is the way to go if like the rugged manners stock as well as the utility and status of having the top of line model.
