3R is much simpler than p5 and shorter than p5. They're both fun, and if you end up liking Persona, you'll play both of them in the end, likely. Between the two, I think P5R might be the easier entry point, the pacing is a bit quicker than the first part of P3R.

If you're planning on playing both of them, like actually going to, I'd say 3 first, since 3R is a bit rougher when compared directly to 5R, so it'd be better to play first. If you're only planning on going for 1, I'd say 5. 5 is a better overall presentation and a more full game, with a lot of modernization in it.

May 15, 2020 · Harrison/ARPerformance has done a bunch of work with 3R and 5R rifling in AR barrels. Might be worth a call or message to pick his brain a bit. My take is the 3R reduces engraving force and should have lower pressures for a given powder/bullet combination.

The rifling is slightly larger/wider than the traditional 4 or 5R rifling, but overall has less bearing surface.
