Mar 7, 2015 · But take away all the FMV stuff and non-game software from the 3DO and it has about the same size library as the Jag, if we include the Jag CD and games and all the home-brews as well as carts. All that being said, my Jaguar and 3DO have lived side-by-side since '97, and compliment each other and I have to choose BOTH of them.

Jul 13, 2007 · But getting back to your more&better games, yeah, the 3DO has twice as many games as the Jaguar, not counting the instructional video software crap, but JUST games. Your right, the 3DO has MORE good games than the Jaguar, becuase of it's larger library, but it also has more BAD games becuase of it's larger library.

Like oesii said, the 3do can surprise anyone. greta system that could definitly have given the saturn and psx some good competition, but thatdamn hefty price tag doomed the company and system from day one.

Apr 19, 2023 · The 3DO had all of the hardware power to do much better if it were paired with more consistently well-developed and polished games. EA did a good job with support, but they dropped the ball on some of the releases, like NHL Hockey, they promised and never delivered. Of course, that was not unusual on the 3DO, and certainly far worse on the Jaguar.

Sep 14, 2020 · Existing 3DO 3D software does much more than existing Jaguar software and is firmly within the 32-bit generation realm. 3D Jaguar games look and feel much more like higher end 16-bit generation. I don't know how many 3DO 2D games weren't 60fps, but you still had more technically impressive games on 3DO, other than Rayman for Jaguar.

They opened the door of the 32-bit flood, and pioneered the introduction of 3d games for the home console. 3DO had Road Rash, Need for Speed and the Jag had Tempest 2000 and AvP, as far as 3d system sellers.
