But since you just want the bottom part -- the 6.8 Rem they use in AR type rifles -- it has the same base dimensions as 30 Rem I believe. Jan 22, 2012 · I wondered the same thing when I saw a set of Lee dies marked 30-30 Win/.30 Remington. The cartridges look so different, 30-30 looks tapered, .30 Rem straight and shoulder different.

Nov 4, 2021 · 30 Rem and 30-30 share data and that works well , at least it does in the 32 Rem . Honestly if you can get away with just neck sizing use a 308 die . The 30 Rem and 30-30 aren't the same shape the 30 Rem is closer to a 30-30AI with a Weatherby shoulder . A 300 Savage sizer would actually get more of the neck .

Jan 5, 2014 · 25, 30, 32 rem all the same case if you can find it , neck up or down, thats how I got the 25rem I needed. You would think that with the advent of the 6.8 that the parent case would show up on the list more often.

Mar 27, 2016 · The pressures beat up the 30-30 brass pretty fast . I made about 20 for a 32 Rem then reformed them for a 7x6.8 mildcat it blew primers barely above 6.8 start loads . Of course in a bolt gun you can manipulate the loads out of the normal window much farther than with an AR .
