Sep 26, 2011 · Switching Low Wall breechblocks from rim- to centerfire resulted in a reloadable .25 caliber using a sized down Ideal 257420. Case life was short, but longer than the rimfire, at least. I do wish they'd revive the .25 Stevens, but I probably couldn't afford newly manufactured ammo, and they'd probably never sell enough to amortise the equipment.

Feb 12, 2015 · There is Another 'parent' case that can be reformed to ".25 Stevens (Long)" diameters; that is the 5.7x28mm Case. It does take three Stages of diameter reduction to get it to .25 Stevens diameters but with proper sized Tools you can achieve 100% yields of Reformed cases, which is better than the Yield from reforming .22 Hornet cases.

Sep 15, 2009 · The 25 RF uses a .251 bullet, the 25-20 the more standard .257. Being a fan of most Stevens rifles and the ballistics of the 25RF I always liked the idea I saw posted some years back- convert the rifle to CF and size 22 Hornet brass to 25 RF dimensions. Standard 25 cal boolits can be sized down to the .252-.254 you'll need.
