I own a 2007 Infiniti G35 sedan and 4 days ago I turned it on and it started revving itself. It was in park revving as well as when my foot was on the break. Once I put it in drive and took my foot off the break the car would accelerate as much as 40mph almost completely skipping 1st gear.

So I had felt Infiniti was the next level and I was well aware of the G35 coupe. I expressed my concerns to my Infiniti salesman and purchased a lease of a 2006 G35 coupe on 12/20/2007. Now I’ve had the car for less then 90 days and unfortunately I’m disappointed the luxury brand name of Infiniti has fell short with my 2006 G35.

Its not the next generation to the G35, it’s a totally different car or i hope so cause they sure needed to discontinue the G35 pretty lemon concept. We all should have bought the BMW i335 (coupe) or Lexus IS 350. Check out those and compare them to the G35; they have better interior, MPG and build quality.

It's weird, really, really weird. :confuse: The Auto I drove was a bare-bones 2007 G35S. So it was definitely a sport model. My 6MT is decked, with everything from Tech on down + 4-wheel active steer.

The IS350 handles better and is much faster than the G35. The back seat of the IS350 is smaller, but that's an acceptable sacrifice considering the IS350 is a complete generation beyond the G35 in technology. The IS350 has direct injection and a six-speed tranny and runs a low 14 to a high 13 in the quarter mile. Compare that to the sluggish G35!

Edmunds InsideLine, and Consumer Guide, both indicate a November release date: Edmunds: After showing a concept version of the 2007 Infiniti G35 coupe at this year's Detroit show, Infiniti unveiled a production version of the sedan in New York. It goes on sale in November.
