Jan 3, 2007 · And while on the subject I also need a phono to din adapter for the phono input as well. On all my turntables I use a Shark high grade ofc cable with gold connectors. I would normally make up a lead using 2 gold phono sockets into a gold 5 pin din plug but the thickness of the cable makes this impossible with any 5 pin din plug I know of.

The speaker connections are of the 2 pin DIN type discussed here. Trouble is, the speakers I plan to use are not. In the original set-up, were there DIN connectors on both ends (i.e. at the turntable amp and speaker)?

Apr 24, 2019 · I have a Dual HS37 which is basically a 1214 TT with a small built-in amp. The amp outputs 6W (4W) via 2-pin DIN speaker connectors. I'm using Dual CL-138 speakers, which are 20W (35W max). The trouble is that I need to turn the volume to maximum to get some volume. Is this normal or could this mean an electronic problem?

Aug 24, 2017 · The 5 pin din connector has a standard connection. They are usually marked on the male connector. For amplifier, it is 2-5-3 at input. For source 1-4-2 as output. You have a DIN on the back. The numbering is 1-4-2-5-3. if mono, only 1-2-3 are available.4 and 5 are for stereo.

Jan 23, 2020 · AFAIK Technics used two different types of plug-in ground wires. One type has a solid plug, for this type I was able to use an old RCA plug (I broke off the outer casing, leaving just the inner pin, with a wire soldered to it). The other type has a hollow plug, I haven't been able to find a good substitute for that one.
