Feb 18, 2021 · If I am going squirrel hunting I take 17 HMR, 17 WSM ,17 Hornet and 204 Ruger. If I am going coyote hunting I take 204 Ruger and 6.5 PRC for the big dogs!! I have shot many coyotes with 17 WSM, but only because they close!!!!!

Feb 20, 2016 · My 17 WSM isn't worth putting a suppressor on. Did AAC state that they will allow the use of the Element II on 17 WSM and still honor the warranty? I think I would want something rated for 5.7 x 28 or 22 Hornet to put on the 17 WSM

Sep 30, 2017 · These include, not just one, but two semi-automatic options for the .17 wsm, while none are available for the .17 Hornet. I think that is not only remarkable but also highly desirable in a sage rat or PD rifle. What I would like to see is a quality, accurate bolt action in .17 wsm for about $500 to $700, something similar to the CZ 527.

Dec 1, 2019 · I bought that 17 HMR Semi that Savage made last year with the thumbhole stock. That thing shoots great compared to my WSM. I use those CCI 17 grainers specifically designed for the A17 and they shoot fast and accurate. Not saying the WSM is a bad cartridge, but my preference for accuracy has to go with the HMR from my experience.

I did a very nice job of glass bedding it with complete support where the barrel meets the receiver and back by the tang. (See Cavedweller on YouTube for a good reference model.
