Dec 27, 2015 · I think the 4080 price is still holding well until the 5070 Ti/5080 actual review comes out and then the price will adjust accordingly. It should be quite soon (maybe in Feb/Mar). Will see. I also expect 5070 Ti to be more power efficient than 4080 for my used case (i.e. distributed computing which I run 24/7 for several weeks continuously)

Feb 20, 2025 · They were duds at the time the 20-series released because the price to performance needle didn't move. The 1080 Ti was a product with a $699 MSRP. The 2080 came out with basically 1080 Ti performance (but 8GB instead of 11GB)...also at $699 MSRP. Arguably, the 1080 Ti aged better than the 2080 simply due to it being an 11GB card vs 8GB on the 2080.
