I called the Chevy dealer and they told me that the number I needed was PF 44 and no longer made them and I could use a PF 46 but not in stock. Called Advance and they said they had one but it was a AC Delco PF 46 E. What's up with the E ?

2000 Chevy Camaro Z28 Alternator connector, that little single wire? Hello.,.Is the single red wire that comes out of that 4 pin alternator connector strictly an output that feeds to the BCM and then Volt Gauge or if this red wire is severed will it keep the Alternator from charging,,,

It suffers from the early gen III engineering, great motor at the time hands down! But it's 13 years old! For the 6.0L that's a little further down the road. I won't be even touching that really until I'm stationed somewhere. But the 6.0L will go in my '98 Camaro and will be a weekend warrior.
