Mar 29, 2016 · The problem is that the number the car reports for driving energy efficiency (Wh/km) doesn't include a bunch of other energy uses or losses, it's only the energy used by the car while driving from A to B.

Jun 22, 2021 · The car will average maybe 70mph but the wh/mi will be in the low 300’s. An average low highway speed can certainly have a high wh/mi and that kind of driving (constantly slowing down and then accelerating hard) will definitely achieve it. It’s a crazy way to drive but I think people may be doing that more often than they think.

Dec 30, 2012 · 383 Wh/mi here, 3300mi on the odo, 1.2MWh total consumed. (lots of local driving so far, not much on the freeways). The best part is the solar (which went online at the same time my Model S arrived) has generated 2.25MWh so far. All those miles are "free!"... . I second your request for lifetime wh/mi, lifetime energy, and per-driver meters.
