Dale E. Friesz was born on July 30th, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri. As the son of a career Army Colonel he traveled a lot as a youth. His family spent two tours in Virginia, across the Potomac River from Washington D.C.. Dale did his undergraduate and graduate work at George Washington University in Washington D.C..
Phantom of the Anvil – USAWA
Wilbur Bohm started out as the Washington State University head athletic trainer before becoming an osteopathic surgeon in 1919. He is credited with helping define sports medicine by writing books and filming a 1941 documentary on charley horses and sprained ankles.

John and Junior Riggins were college football stars and John went on to lead the Washington Redskins to the Super Bowl XVII title and to a losing effort in Super Bowl XVIII. His brother, Franklin (Junior), landed a big bonus contract with the California Angels, but vision problems limited his baseball career.
