The Gigabyte website has a few issues that I think need addressing when it comes to how Bios files are posted and handled. Beta/Alpha BIOS updates: These need to have note on them when people download them from the site. They have no note listing that they are a beta bios, and are frequently added or removed from the website.

I'm having a 14900k delivered today and heard default settings won't be very stable for heat and stability. Could anyone recommend some BIOS settings to someone new to Gigabyte mobos? 253w power limits, for example?

Dec 16, 2023 · With B660 series, you may install GCC, update the drivers and firmware. This is a unified software from GIGABYTE to control or monitor a variety of features (Like RGB, PWM fans etc) and to monitor, keep the drivers updated etc. But after initial setup, ofcourse it's optional. Personally, I would keep using GCC.

Jan 13, 2023 · Might need to close the app and run the file "GIGABYTE Control Center_23.06.27.01" couple times until RGB Fusion shows up. I think even when making the updates in regular GCC, it doesn't open the lastest version when you start the app.

Mar 2, 2022 · First close Gigabyte's AppCenter, then open file "C:\Program Files (x86)\Gigabyte\AppCenter\Util.xml" in text editor. Locate entry for "Norton Internet Shit (NIS)", modify Install="1" to be Install="0", save file and run the Gigabyte AppCenter again. No more "Norton Internet Shit (NIS)" offered to be installed.
