I still don’t fully understand how it benefits Fiji Airways that it doesn’t have control over its frequent flier program but has outsourced this to American, as these arrangements have never worked well. Copa ditched MileagePlus and launched its own program, and the same happened with Keny Airways, which used to use Flying Blue. It should take a few days for all alliance members to update their web pages with Fiji Airways information and for award flights to become bookable with miles from all programs.
