In the anime, after Goku and Vegeta returned to the main timeline, Beerus uses Hakai on Dr. Mashirito's ghost during Mashirito's attack on the World Invention Conference for badmouthing him, destroying him permanently.

Beerus used it multiple times against him to erase his ki attacks in the bog arc afaik. Goku mentions in the Granola Arc that he was just winging it and this was kind of a failed, but still powerful attempt. Essentially, Zamasu is very strong and he's winging it here. "All you do is steal moves; it's kind of your thing."

In the anime, Whis, Beerus, Shin and Goku watch as Zamasu kill Gowasu, and right afterward, Whis rewinds time. In the manga, Shin uses the Time Ring to go ahead in time and sees the atrocities committed by Zamasu.
