also for anyone struggling, if you fail a zuk phase, don't start a new attempt each time. practice on zuk until you feel confident in the zuk fight. teleport out before the fight ends if you're going to succeed but still don't feel confident and do it again. its a bit of a resource sink, but doing all the waves each time just for a zuk attempt makes it harder to practice the mechanics ...

Nov 2, 2021 · Mage tank armor + animate dead is crazy stupid strong. Throw vamp aura on top of that, and I could no food all the way up to Zuk without any real issues. Didn't pass more than one of the challenge waves per attempt, but more focus on DPS could probably have solved that. By far the hardest part of the fight was passing the DPS check at Zuk.

Jul 31, 2022 · The mage helm gives you animate dead damage reduction + 9% damage reduction + 10% accuracy boost in the entire fight, including Zuk. If you donate Tokkul to the coffer it increases to 19% damage reduction for 20 minutes (up to 60 minutes with 3 payments of 15k tokkul). 2) I highly suggest a ring switch for Zuk.

Dismiss the yak and summon a DPS familiar right before the Zuk fight. For Zuk: Learn the attack patterns. He always does mechanics in the same order with 3 auto-attacks between each. For the pizza phase if you can't get out of the fire fast enough, use Devotion and protect magic. When Zuk is at 100k HP his attack rotation starts over.

Animate dead + vamp aura meant I didn't need healing up until I got to Zuk. Mostly just camping the south/east safespot like there's no tomorrow, until I got to Zuk. In my experience, by far the hardest part of the encounter was the DPS check at Zuk. A ripper demon familiar and using its scroll attack made a massive difference.

Either I would have to assume those trying out HM Zuk have a better understanding of PVM than a normal learner, and just introduce short callouts as reminders of the strategy you wish to follow (maybe an advanced version for expert players) or try to have a similar approach and do a version of HM that will just barely get you through the fight ...

Zuk itself in RS3 is arguably mechanically harder but the grind to get there is much shorter compared to OSRS. 30-40min at the start compared to 2-3h in OSRS. As a result failing is less punishing and you also have checkpoints in RS3 unlike OSRS.

Jan 19, 2022 · Zuk, in NM, is the most difficult to learn of the GWD3 NM bosses. He is certainly a step up from the Elder Kiln, and Zuk himself can be unforgiving to the inexperienced. Expect your first runs to take upwards of 30 minutes. After you become more experienced with the entire fight, that time will decrease significantly.
