Zyphe (also spelled Zophei) is a Kuki-Chin language spoken primarily in Thantlang township, Chin State, Myanmar, and also spoken in India. It is spoken by 17,000 Burmese and 3,000 Indians. There are 2 dialects, east Zyphe and west Zyphe.

The flag used by the Chinland Council is identical to that of the Chin National Front, which differs from the Chin State's previous flag. It consists of three horizontal bands of red, white and blue, charged with two hornbills in the center. [1]

Zophei (or Zyphe, ISO 639-3 ZYP) is a previously undescribed member of the Maraic branch of Kuki-Chin (or South-Central Tibeto-Burman), spoken in southern Thantlang Township, Chin State, Burma/Myanmar and by thousands of speakers in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Zophei (or Zyphe ISO 639-3 ZYP) refers to the undescribed language spoken by the Zophei ethnic group of Myanmar. This paper presents the first description of Zophei by offering a comparison of the vowel systems of two speakers. Both are from the Lower Zophei area, one from the village of Tlawngrang and one from the village of Lawngtlang.

There are many Chin languages, including Hakha Lai (also known as Hakha Chin or Laiholh), Zophei, Lutuv (aka Lautu) Chin, Falam Chin, Matu, and many more. Most of these languages are spoken in Northwest Burma/Myanmar, and across the border in parts of India and Bangladesh.

Jul 13, 2019 · Zophei is an undescribed Tibeto-Burman language within the Kuki-Chin family. Originally spoken in the Chin Hills of Western Myanmar, approximately 4,000 Zophei-speaking refugees now live in Central Indiana.
