Dec 25, 2014 · Zegna does not make shoes. They don't mention if they are GYW or Blake welted, a bad prognostic sign. Northampton shoes would be starting in that price range and are GYW and generally all well made, the Italians prefer Blake stitching and again start at those prices. So one may assume they are from one of those sources and a good manufacturer.

Dec 3, 2006 · Ferragamo make shoes for Zegna (under the Zefer joint venture) but the SF Studio is the cheapest and the zegna mainline are much better. The Napoli Couture shoes were made by Mantellassi at some point and are constructed to an even higher standard than the mainline.

Sep 3, 2007 · The ones in the auction in the OP are made by Mantellassi and are in European sizes. Newer Zegna shoes are made by Ferragamo and are pretty narrow much like SF and Tramezza shoes.

The regular Zegna shoes are, for the most part, Blake-constructed and unexciting. The Couture shoes are also Blake-constructed, but they tend to use better materials and can pique one's interest.
