Feb 13, 2009 · YS-7 is 10-12 grams heavier with a bit stiffer tip. More of a mid-low launcher compared to YS-6 which flips it up pretty high. I think you can definitely count on a lower launch with YS-7, but it won't feel quite as silky as YS-6.

Jul 25, 2015 · Low/mid launch, Low/mid spin, feel is pretty smooth but with plenty of heft so you always know where the clubhead is. A mid/late release and firm transition would be ideal for both the Aldila Tour Green 75/YS 7+ shafts imo, as they feel so similar.

Feb 3, 2009 · The YS-7+ was a much better feeling and performing shaft (much closer to a low/low, but low-mid/low-mid in reality and one of the best 3 wood shafts I've ever hit), and the Type II felt too soft and whippy for me.

Mar 14, 2009 · The YS-7+ is a great shaft with low-mid launch and spin with great feel. I highly recommend it for you, but I would recommend getting the X and tipping it 1/2" or 3/4" with your swingspeed/tempo. X flex in the YS-7+ is for a range of 100-110 with an average tempo.

Aug 14, 2005 · Thinking of putting either a YS-7+ or Diamana 83 in a Cleveland Comp 460 or Titleist 905S. Has anyone tried tipping the YS-7? I tend to hit the ball high and with a fairly high swing speed (120 mph). The GD site says that an X flex is good up to 115 mph, so tipping seems like an option to make it play firmer.
