The Weikart Center’s signature Youth Program Quality Improvement (YPQI) approach harnesses the power of research evidence and the experience of practitioners to improve the quality of youth experiences in OST programming from the ground up.

The Youth Program Quality Assessment (YPQA) is one tool that will help Clubs and youth centers ASSESS the quality of their program. When used within a CQI system, the YPQA is a validated tool that provides clear standards of quality.

If you use either the Weikart Youth Program Quality Assessment (YPQA) or BGCA’s Club Programming Standards Assessment (CPSA), you can enter your completed assessments into the Assessment Tools app on myBGCA.net.

In pursuit of this goal, we employ the Youth Program Quality Assessment (YPQA), with ongoing support from the David P. Weikart Center for Youth Program Quality, to assist organizations improve practices and positively impact youth developmental outcomes.
