Jul 22, 2023 · The story of Dan Feng and Yingxing (known as Dan Heng and Blade) dates back to the second abundance war, around ~5749 star calendar. During this period, they were part of a group called the "High Cloud Quintet" and fought together against the abundance, earning recognition as the High Elder of the Vidyadhara and the Furnace Master.

It was Dan Feng who was the mastermind, Yingxing is the accomplice. Blade is very likely consumed by guilt at the consequences of their actions and his pursuit of Dan Heng is to remind him of the crimes they commited, since out of the three sinners only Daniel is the one who does not remember while he and Jingliu suffer for it every waking moment of their lives.

Basically, Yingxing was an incredibly talented smith, potentially meant to be the sort you come across once every few centuries. It is also HEAVILY implied that he faced a great deal of prejudice because he was a short-life.

In Blade's trailer, Yingxing had gray hair. It's pretty clear at roughly the 1min mark. In Dan Heng IL pv, Yingxing has various marks of aging; deep eye line, laugh line at the side of his mouth, and indented cheek (as opposed to youthful cheek fat).

Yingxing also forged the weapons of the high cloud quintet members including the sword he uses currently in game. This stuff I found from google. It is also presumed Baiheng and Yingxing were lovers

Yingxing doesn't accept the lost of his teammate - Baiheng. The reason for this is not known to us, maybe he was in love with her, maybe they were very close friend, or Dan Feng talked him into it using their relationship. We don't know. So in desperate, they make the mistake of creating a chimera using Baiheng, Shuhu's flesh and Dan Feng's power.

A mirage echo also implies that he and Dan Feng may have even been planning it to some degree. what does Kafka mean when she tells him to “use the Mara”

Sep 29, 2023 · I think Baiheng/Yingxing and/or Dan Feng are actually cute dynamics but it's always somehow brought up when people are trying dispute Renheng. You can't automatically claim there is no merit to queer-coded ships because the beloved being Baiheng can't mean anything platonic.

May 3, 2023 · long answer, Yingxing, he was called that during his HCQ era, when he has grey hair and before he was immortal, but since being becoming mara-struck he couldn't remember his real name and started going by blade (I think, please correct me if im wrong!!)

(in my personal opinion, it would also make for bad story progression for dan heng to recognize him as yingxing earlier) hsr honestly does have a few lore inconsistencies, esp when it comes to the hcq, and dan heng's memory. hoyo in general has a habit of leaving unexplained pieces of lore for plot convenience in most their games. not much ...
