May 12, 2020 · I would DEFINITELY go with a Taylor GS Mini if I wanted a guitar that size. It's the same length as the Yamaha but with a slightly larger sound cavity. It gets better bass and has more headroom. The Yamaha has a very sweet sound for fingerpicking and, with the distortion, might be a good choice for acoustic blues. The GS Mini is more versatile.

Jul 20, 2018 · Yamaha had not been on my list, but I really liked this one when I found it at Guitar Center. This is the laminate body (solid spruce top), which I chose for durability and lower price. I thought the solid version sounded a little better, but the laminate seemed a little punchier to me, which I like for the kind of music I play.

May 2, 2024 · The Csf1m crimson red is a very nice little guitar with a definitely big voice. It does not sound exactly like my Yamaha AC3m or A5m dreadnought but the Csf1m has a good loud sound that is rich and resonant in its own right. The Csf1 is a very good sounding guitar with a nicely resonant voice including a nice sounding bass response.

May 22, 2018 · Anyway, the Yamaha CSF1M is something you have to look at if you are considering a parlor or parlor style guitar. I am very happy with my mini, but had there been one on the shelf and available to play when I bought my mini, I may have gone with the Yamaha.

May 13, 2024 · But the stock tuners were okay, it was my preference. My Yamaha A5m, by the way, has stock Grover open gear vintage modern type tuners. In fact almost all of my Yamaha guitars have the stock tuners and they are of very good quality, smooth and accurate. The stock Yamaha tuners appear to be of similar design to the great Gotoh 510's.

As far as drilling into my brand new crimson csf1m - I approached the project slowly. Looking at the existing tuners and measuring. 10mm. Grovers were available quickly and inexpensive on ama zon.

Jul 25, 2018 · NGD - Yamaha CSF1M My two local Guitar Centers had four CSF's in stock, three of the all-solid wood CSF3M's (spruce,mahogany, $550) and one 1M (solid spruce top, laminate mahogany b/s, $400). I played one solid model one day, and a couple of days later was able to compare two solid ones with one laminated one.
