Boragh – Reverse engineered BMP-1 or Type 86 (WZ-501) converted into an APC. It is very similar to the Chinese WZ-503 APC. It has a V-8 turbocharged diesel engine which delivers 330 hp (246 kW). It also has road wheels from the US M113 APC. Its combat weight was reduced to 13 tonnes. Other upgrades include a higher road speed and stronger armor.

The WZ 501 (YW 501) or Type 86 is a tracked armored infantry fighting vehicle designed and manufactured by the Chinese Defense Company Norinco. The NORINCO WZ501 (PLA designation Type 86) is a Chinese copy of the Russian BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicle (IFV), which was first introduced in the 1960s. The Type 86 entered service with the PLA in the late 1980s as the primary infantry fighting vehicle to accompany the main battle tank in the battlefield, with around 2,000~3,000 examples built.
