Woolly Thyme is a low-growing, mat-forming perennial sub-shrub with a slow, creeping habit. It grows only 2 to 3 inches (5–7 cm) tall and spreads up to 12–36 inches (30–90 cm) wide. Its stems hug the ground closely, rooting as they spread, creating a dense, fuzzy carpet.
