A functional link between Wnt signaling and SKP2-independent p27 ...
Nov 11, 2008 · In the present study, we show that Wnt10b driven tumors express low levels of p27 KIP1 (Cdkn1b) and present evidence for post-translational control by a novel Wnt-induced proteasome targeting pathway (WIPT) that is active in Wnt-responding S-phase cells.
WNT/β-catenin and p27/FOXL2 differentially regulate supporting …
Apr 15, 2016 · Repression of p27 and proliferation of GATA4+ve XX somatic cells is promoted through WNT/β-catenin signalling. Unknown signals promote expression of p27 and FOXL2 in the granulosa precursor cells allowing cortical follicle formation, which support fertility from puberty.
Phosphorylation-Dependent Regulation of WNT/Beta-Catenin …
In this review, we provide an overview of how protein phosphorylation controls WNT/β-catenin signaling, particularly in human cancer. Keywords: β-catenin, CTNNB1, GSK3β, adherens junctions, AXIN, CK1, frizzled.
A functional link between Wnt signaling and SKP2-independent p27 ...
Nov 15, 2008 · Loss of the CDK inhibitor p27 (KIP1) is widely linked with poor prognosis in human cancer. In Wnt10b-expressing mammary tumors, levels of p27 (KIP1) were extremely low; conversely, Wnt10b-null mammary cells expressed high levels of this protein, suggesting Wnt-dependent regulation of p27 (KIP1).
Wnt-induced proteolytic targeting - PMC
Wnt-induced Cul4A:Ddb1 E3 ubiquitin ligase exclusively targets p27 Kip1 for proteolysis in Wnt-dependent tumors. Cul4A engages an E1 activating enzyme, which transfers ubiquitin transfer to an E2 conjugating enzyme.
WNT/β-catenin and p27/FOXL2 differentially regulate ... - PubMed
Apr 15, 2016 · Blocking WNT signalling reduces XX supporting cell proliferation, while stabilising β-catenin signalling promotes proliferation, indicating that the renewal of pre-granulosa cells is dependent on WNT/β-catenin signalling in the proliferative supporting cell population.
Wnt Signaling Inhibits High-Density Cell Sheet Culture Induced ...
Since p27 is a major target of Wnt signaling, we speculate that Wnt3a treatment induces cell cycle arrest in stromal cell sheet cultures, which leads more cells entering quiescent stage instead of entering cell senescence and apoptosis pathway.
Id-1 activates Akt-mediated Wnt signaling and p27 - Nature
Dec 15, 2008 · We report here that Id-1 inhibits PTEN transcription by downregulating p53 expression, which induces the PI3K/Akt-mediated Wnt signaling pathway and p27 Kip1 phosphorylation and its cytosolic...
Wnt Signaling Inhibits High-Density Cell Sheet Culture Induced ... - PubMed
Aug 5, 2020 · More importantly, Wnt signaling activation significantly reduced senescence in cell sheet cultures by direct regulation of cell cycle inhibitor p27. This study not only characterized the cellular and molecular features of aging stromal cells in short-term cell sheet cultures, but also identified the downstream target responsible for Wnt ...
A functional link between Wnt signaling and SKP2-independent p27 ...
May 1, 2008 · Loss of the CDK inhibitor p27 KIP1 is widely associated with poor prognosis in human cancer. We found that p27 Kip1 is uniquely degraded in mammary tumors arising from Wnt10b- activated signaling, and contrasts tumors originating from other oncogenic insults.
