Windows "HDR contents brightness" slider sets nits for "sdr white", e.g. default "30" corresponds to sdr white of 200 nit Monitors hdr nit max, gamma etc,- this will vary by monitor, if supported it will be in monitor settings menus or monitor-specific control software/drivers.
