Aug 23, 2013 · Scholars electives (SE) is a special undergrad research module. It's a 'mini' degree, 3.0 courses total. You take an extra course in first year (so 5.5 credits overall) that's supposed to prepare you for research in upper years.

Western Success Scholars (WSS) is a campus-based supportive program designed to assist all incoming WWU first year, transfer and continuing students who have experienced foster care or homelessness.

Western Scholars are encouraged to pursue Honours Bachelor degrees. Although there is no requirement that Western Scholars take honours-level options, they are encouraged to select challenging courses that meet their academic needs.
