May 2, 2024 · Re: Welding Skid Slide Assembly for Pickup Lis, when I use a 150 had a gullwing tool box where your fuel tank is and the skid behind it, drop the tailgate and it worked pretty well. I simply laid the torch somewhat rolled up beside the skid and somewhat the same for leads.

Aug 13, 2018 · Re: Welding Skid: You don't want to remove the top flange from the track. As you pull the drawer out over center the rollers will leave the bottom C flange and engage the top flat flange to keep the drawer from tipping down.

Hi Everyone, I'm looking to build a custom welding skid for my miller trailblazer 325 and reels to go into my chevy 1500 (long bed typical bathtub rig). I like the concept of having all of the reels near the back of the truck similar to many welding skid setups I've seen.

Mar 2, 2025 · So, the Scat Trak skid steer that I am rebuilding has a back door that weigh near 200+ pounds. The factory hinges are all cracked and bent from being on a skid steer. They are pretty much worthless and not worth rebuilding. I am planning on using trailer deck hinges that are grease able and are weld on, that go on the outside of the door and back.
